"Elevators wre being renovated, and there were frequently people on them who missed their floor. But just a transitional problem i think. Not enough pool loungers. Staff great. Place nice, location great."

"I chose this hotel because the cost was attractive and because it was steps away from a MRT station (Bencoolen on the Downtown line). It was within walking distance of Clarke Quay and Orchard Road. It is not in downtown, but it was close enough for my needs. The hotel was clean and well-kept. The room, while small, was comfortable and met my expectations for the stay. Wifi worked well and the safe and fridge were useful during my stay. I also appreciated the ice machine on the ground floor, however the hotel did not provide breakfast. I was fine without having breakfast at the hotel given the prevalence of hawker stalls in nearby Little India and Chinatown, as well as good restaurants nearby, although this may not be convenient for others. The laundry facilities were convenient although I did not use them. Same with the pool. Overall, the hotel was good value and well situated, so I would certainly consider staying at this property again in the future. "

"Well located hotel. Staff are fantastic. They mention about the pillows when you check in that if they’re not what you’re after to phone reception and they’ll organise other ones - but at 11pm at night when you’re in your PJs you’re not really going to do that! Pillows are seriously all like rocks - ended up sleeping on folded towels! "

"Great location with amazing staff to help accommodate with any request. The pool was very beautiful and a great place to relax. We had breakfast every morning at Chara and the staff were incredible. The rooms may be on the smaller side however we had no issues with 2 Adults and 1 teenager. The room was very clean and enjoyable. Would love to stay here again"

"Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast selection. Drinks reasonably priced. Pool lovely temperature. The building works around the Hotel disruptive and noisy. Should have been mentioned at booking as it's a huge building site on 2 sides and very very noisy and dusty. But too many negatives for me...... smelly bathroom (drainage smell from sink) sun beds broken/sharp edges, tiles chipped in pool, jets don't work in pool, no sun bed cushions as you'd expect for a 5* Hotel, you run out of tea/coffee/toilet rolls and don't get replaced without asking. You don't get help with luggage. Towels not always changed daily. To be honest, the list goes on and on...... 3* tops!"
