Harbour Hotel

"We had a lovely stay at the Harbour Hotel in Galway! It's in a quiet area by the water but a super short walk to the center of town and everything you'd want to do. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the bed was one of the comfiest and largest I've ever had in a European hotel room. My husband and I have a king sized bed at home in the US, so we usually expect a downgrade when we travel (which is fine), but not in this case! Happily surprised!"

"This hotel was a great option to stay at outside of downtown Galway. It was along the water and we walked the 1 .6 miles to town and back without an issue. We attended Trad on the Prom which is right next door. Bed was comfortable, room was large, good water pressure. Only complaint is I prefer a softer pillow. We are at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Both were very good. I would definitely stay here again."

"Comfy beds, spacious rooms, fabulous staff, phenomenal spa and lovey restaurant. Just outside the sometimes noisy center city but well with walking distance giving the perfect balance of quiet and access to the sites and shopping."
Claregalway Hotel

"The hotel is nice enough, and in a decent location to have quick access to Galway. We requested a king room; we’re not sure why there was a king bed plus two other single beds in our room. That wasn’t a problem, but it was very odd. One big item that made us quite unhappy: a total lack of hot water for a morning shower. I can only assume that too many people are getting ready and their hot water just can’t keep up. It was not a pleasant surprise and staff didn’t really seem to care too much. Also, be aware the parking lot in front of the building is very limited, and with very tight spaces. There may be more parking in the back; we didn’t need to check."

"Check in was flawless, staff were very friendly and helpful. They have 24 hour staff. The turn down service was great. At breakfast all the staff was very personable."
