"What an incredible location and set up. I'm not totally sure what I was expecting, but this far exceeded anything I had envisioned. We stayed two nights in a three bed tent. We arrived around dusk after a full day exploring Yellowstone and were met by the friendliest team at registration and a few cows! The kids were thrilled with the accommodations -- comfortable beds, great bedding (including down comforters), two chairs and a couple of wooden folding trays.
Be prepared to make friends with your fellow campers near the fire pits and picnic area... Also be prepared, this location has cows grazing in the area -- we loved hearing them while in our tents and watching them graze... Made the kids feel like real cowboys!
This is definitely a premium glamping location, but you should know you're still glamping! Bathrooms and shower facilities are in the center of the camp ground (an easy walk from the tents). There were plenty of toilet and shower facilities for the amount of campers. Hot water is a little sporadic, but we were able to shower without an issue (albeit we took short showers to conserve the campground's water supply).
When asking the kids about their favorite parts of our multi-day Yellowstone/Grand Teton National Parks adventures, they all agreed Wander Camp was the #1. We've talked about visiting other national parks, but they really only want to come back to Yellowstone primarily to go back to Wander Camp."
