Promenade Inn & Suites Oceanfront

10/10 Excellent

"The staff here were very friendly and accommodating. Dona checked us in the front counter. She was quick, efficient and helpful. She made some great recommendations around the area for new comers and we enjoyed the energy she shared with each of her guests. The views can be awesome if you have a room facing the ocean, and the location is perfect to check out seaside. Even during the renovations, Dona and the rest of the staff made sure each of their guests felt cared for. I would easily come stay here again!"

"Great stay! We stayed 2 nights and it was very nice. Clean hotel, nice staff, and decent breakfast included in the room rate. We didn’t use the pool area. The gym could use a bit of help. There wasn’t much to it . They need to add some weight machines and more modern equipment. Other than that the stay was a good base if you want to go to Astoria or Cannon beach."

Rivertide Suites Hotel

"This review is for both rooms that were rented under my name. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was nice, especially if you have an upper floor river view. We could actually see the ocean from our room on clear afternoons. It was really helpful that the rooms had everything from washer/dryer to kitchenette. Very convenient. And the main part of the room seemed fairly recently updated, which was nice. Unfortunately, there were a handful of things that we didn't like during our stay. 1. The breakfast is virtually non-existent. It was biscuits and gravy each morning we were there, and their version of B&G was almost inedible. The coffee was good and the few pastry options were fine. 2. The dishes in the cupboards were dirty. The glasses and flatware had stuff on them, such that we had to re-clean them prior to use. 3. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. This was probably due to the fact that there was no dishwashing soap in the room. 4. The dishtowels on the kitchen counter were nicely folded but also dirty, and there were no napkins or paper towels in the room. 5. While the room appeared clean, there were dust bunnies under the couch and bed. The ceiling fan was also really dirty and there were cobwebs on the ceiling. (I can see that it would be hard to clean these areas with such tall ceilings). 6. The crow's nest on top of the facility needs some attention. A plexiglass windbreak would be good, and the outdoor furniture could use cleaning."
