One of the most stunning hotels in the UK that I have ever stayed in. Impeccable service.

We had nice stay one night. We had nice Valentin night and good breakfast. Thank you very much.

Great place. Lovely rooms. Very clean. Great breakfast!

Our room was spotlessly clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent too. Will definitely return, thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

Lovely stay with very nice staff. Would definitely book again if in the area again.

Ideal location for walking to the centre. On site free parking a major boon

A warm welcome on our arrival and was checked in quickly and escorted to our room. Staff were terrific, dinner plentiful, warm ambience and fairly busy. The room is small but fine for one night and price. The only thing was the headboard in room 2 was flaking off. Such an easy fix but very visible when you first walk in - an impression that makes you think what else is wrong here. Also a couple of cleaning products left in room. Again, not a big deal, but careless. Would recommend to stay for a...

Clean and tidy room with a good portacot for the baby and staff who were very friendly towards him. Good value breakfast with many dietary options at no extra cost.

The Woolpack is simply the best Inn that I’ve stayed at. Gorgeous building (complete with ghost?). Staff that are genuinely friendly, a pub packed with locals that must be the friendliest in the Country. I was lucky to be there for Thursday night karaoke… honestly I’ve arranged my diary to be there on Thursdays. If you like an authentic pub, great food, superbly comfortable accommodation and a strong community spirit.. (and maybe a ghostly nun).. then this is the best place to stay!

Great room And very good food

Our room was full of character, very clean with luxurious bath products, a good range of teas/coffee and complimentary water on arrival. There is a fabulous Indian restaurant next door called Basca but we didn't have time to visit as we were here for a gig at the Colchester Arts Centre which was only a short walk away. Roland looked after us...
