"First, the pros: The room was incredibly comfortable for a mid-tier hotel. Incredibly comfortable bed, pillows, water pressure, and room size. Housekeeping was stellar and timely, and the A/C did the job just right. Also, excellent gym with equipment that was cared for and well beyond what you normally find in a hotel. Pool was warm and the bar had a great selection of premium options. Staff was also very friendly, even under the pressure they were working under.
Now, the cons. Service is terribly slow everywhere, from the front desk, to the ice cream stand, the bars, the pool service, etc. Also, the pools are both incredibly dirty. Partly due to the guests, yes, but the staff need to be better about cleaning up plates, good, and trash. The pool area was just filthy to the point where it was downright gross. The kids pool was even worse, frankly disgusting to even walk through the area barefoot. The guests also seemed like budget-oriented large families and the place was packed with yelling, misbehaving children and aloof parents. You definitely get what you pay for in that sense."
