The hotel was clean and well presented. I’d guess the rooms have been renovated in the last 5 years. Great rain shower. Good sized double room and en suite. Fridge, hob and microwave were a bonus. Breakfast at the cafe across the road which came free with the room was huge and the staff were friendly. I would stay here again as it’s right in the centre of town. Also worth a walk to the Pioneer museum which is packed full of an unbelievable amount of stuff and it’s all fascinating.

Lovely little cabin with comfortable bed and plenty of amenities.

Wildwood is conviently located just outside of Mudgee though centrally located to all the vineyards and only a short drive to the restaurants in town. The guesthouse is set back into the bush along a dirt road. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quite taking frequent walks into the surrounding countryside, we spotted mobs of kangaroos, red-neck wallabies, countless birds and an echidna. The daily cooked breakfast was also a delight and a great way to start the day!  

It was difficult to find someone from Reception so that I could check in but once found, the staff member was most helpful. The room was large, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was good value.
