"One of the best stays during our 3 week trip in Ecuador. Maybe the best overall. Modern and luxeous lodge in a gorgeous, peaceful landscape with a beautiful view on the forested mountains. Clean rooms, very large comfortable bed (even large enough for me, I am almost 2 meters tall) and lots of big windows to peer outside. Delicious meals and an excellent, very hospitable host. "The hacienda is beautiful., a true calm and quiet oasis from the past. The common rooms and hacienda itself are decorated sumptuously, but the room that we had needed a little more of something to make it feel more lux. Same with the towels and other bath amenities, they did not match the hacienda itself. The food was very good on the prefix menu but maybe needed a bit more variety and perhaps local dishes. Service was very nice, albeit quite professional. I would definitely return again, but would go for a higher room category. Oh the best was turn down service with chocolates and hot water bottles!!"
