"We had a great stay. George the owner is very proud of his property and showed us all around his gardens. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Very convenient to Daintree Discovery Center. All damage from the December 2023 “extreme rain event” have been repaired. Don’t hesitate to book. You can have breakfast and dinner at the hotel cafe. Otherwise, there are very limited restaurant options, and no markets nearby, so stock up before you get on the ferry, either at Mossman or Port Douglas....

"I didn’t realise how central it is to everything - the beach, yoga, shops, cafes, restaurants, mariner. I felt safe, loved the room and the gorgeous wildlife that I could see everyday and night from my balcony. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool and shared BBQ area was perfectly positioned for sun and shade. "We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Nautilus Holiday Apartments. Communication with the property managers was excellent at all times, and they were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay, providing lots of information about Port Douglas and surrounds at check in. The 3 BR apartment was well equipped and very comfortable. We would have no hesitation in staying there again or recommending Nautilus Apartments to others. "

"Crystal gave great instructions to enter the property after hours. Apartment was on the top floor (note no stairs for those with mobility issues). No problem for us at all. As part of our package a mid stay clean was offered which included restocking toilet paper, washing powder and dishwasher items - never usually included so that’s a real plus! Comfy beds and so close to everything including the beach a few steps away. Loved it! "

"There were some minor maintenance issues, which were remedied immediately. The staff were friendly and the location is perfect, as shopping, dining, coffee spots are literally around the corner! The cleanliness of the rooms was good with room for some improvement - although this was not enough to marr the experience in any way :)"

Just go a little further north of Cape Tribulation, right before the road turns to the 4WD only Bloomfield Track, to visit Emmagen Beach. The track is next to the big strangler fig on the right hand side of the road. It’s a short five minute walk down to the beach and is definitely worth a look. There was no one around when we went. It is right next to Emmagen Creek so be wary of crocs.
