We’ve stayed with Zaza countless times in Dallas and Austin and this experience was drastically different than others. The check in experience was abrupt and rude. The man checking us in was not friendly at all. Don’t even recall him asking how we were or why we were visiting. Just cold and no interaction. Our room was very outdated for the price and for booking a parlor room. There were cracks in the ceiling and water damage. The bed this time was uncomfortable. But we were there for one night and had to get to dinner, tried to make the best of it. The next morning we were woken up by maid service knocking on our doors 3 different times way before checkout. All between 9-10:30am. Also received a phone call with no one on the line. We were looking forward to sleeping in a little and checking out by 12 at the latest but it honestly felt like we were being rushed out so we just got up and left. I will say the valet guys were professional and kind and that was the best part of this experience. We love Zaza and again have been staying with y’all for close to 10 years but we will not be returning to the Dallas location unfortunately.

For the trip, I didn't rent a car. On the day of checkout, I was rush to the airport and wasn't able to check the receipt carefully. When I got home, I found out they charged me for valet parking, which was ridicules, I had to call the hotel to get it removed. I thought it was only a mistake on my receipt at first. When I checked with another one who was also on the same business trip, he was also charged for valet parking, he didn't have a car either. This hotel is definitely focus on generating revenue.

EVERYONE was so nice, accommodating and helpful! Check in was easy! Room was spacious and just like the picture. Clean rooms, great food and nice bar, too! Room service was yummy and fast. No complaints at all.
