Find a better hotel..
Not a great experience. Sad & tired hotel. Room was not great - no window & cockroaches. Shower barely hot. Staff were forgetful & unhelpful. Breakfast was just ok. I do not recommend this hotel

I had a very large, very nicely furnished room. Staff were all helpful and pleasant. Although I just have coffee and toast for breakfast, they provided a variety of hot dishes, cereal and fruits. There was plenty of hot water at all times. They provided a kettle and coffee/tea and bottled water daily which were most welcome. As mentioned previously, there is no top sheet on the bed but they were quick to provide same when I requested one. They arranged reasonably priced airport pickups and drop offs I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Booking this hotel was my worst experience with hotels.com and with hotels in India. The hotel did not exist, but the staff claims it was under maintenance. I was shuffled between three different hotels while they figured out where to put me. Finally, when it was my time to leave, they actually refused to give me a bill even after demanding one. The actual hotel I ended up staying in wasn't that bad, but the staff soured the whole experience.

We were at the hotel for a total of 2 nights and we left on the night of 21/10/19 at 3.00 am. The worker in the lobby was asleep and took time to him to wake up. The guards tried 10 minuts to wake him and it was difficult to him. we required to wake up call at 2.30 am, but didn't receive it. We could have missed it if we trusted. He checked our bill and asked to pay although prepaid. We booked a vehicle to the airport and neither was there. So overall, beside negative experience of the check out, the service was good and the hotel comfortable. The breakfast was good. Travel service was good. we took one day tour of Delhi.

The room was nice for the price. My room was pretty well cleaned, the wifi worked well and the food was fabulous. Unfortunately, there wasn't any hot water for a shower on the first night of my stay. Subsequent nights, there was warm water for showers. I think the only thing I would complain about is every night a woman from the spa would call at 9:30pm or later and ask if I wanted a facial or massage. I was exhausted from traveling all day and it was really annoying to be woken up at 9:30 or 10pm by an employee asking if you wanted a spa treatment. As a customer, I would prefer it if employees did not call my room (at any time) advertising hotel services.

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused to you during your stay with us. After receiving your feedback and similar complaints a decision was taken close down the spa services. To clarify the steam room, sauna room and swimming pool are very much operational only the spa services have been discontinued. With regard to the issue for hot water the same is readily available during peak usage hours identified by our team. The same are informed to guests on arrival. Besides these times you can simply call the front desk and the same is made available within 5 minutes of the request being placed. It is not for foreigners in their first visit and virst hotel in India. It's in very strange aria and you need taxi everywhere. The staff in o.k. All of them are staing in the hotel and sleep on the flor in the lobby.

OK hotel
I stayed 3 nights at this hotel with a friend and my 10-year-old son. The hotel staff were very nice and professional. The room was pretty basic and we had to make up the beds ourselves. We were a bit confused about which room we were in as we booked a family room (supposed to sleep 4) but the room we were in was a twin room with a foldout couch as the 3rd bed, there was no way another bed could fit in the room. When we questioned the staff, they said a triple room and a family room were the same thing, however when I booked they had different pricing and we were charged for a family room. The good thing was that the manager agreed to give us free airport pick-up (takes over 30 mins from the airport) as I had seen it on their website that they offered it if we booked 2 or more nights stay (we stayed 3 nights). They also agreed to give us complimentary breakfasts as they were included in the Expedia quote. The breakfasts were ok but since we arrived closer to the ending time of breakfast, most of the hot food was cold. Brewed coffee would have also been appreciated. The accommodation was pretty basic, but ok for the price.

Friendly Karol Bagh spot
Very friendly staff! Restaurant was decent, but the location in a quiet neighborhood and close to a metro station made this place really nice. Hot water is lacking on the upper floors.

Good hotel in not so good location
The hotel is near Karol Bagh and we were not too happy with the location. Many touts and we did not feel safe to be out at night. However the rooftop restaurant offered such good food this was not necessary. The room was clean and quiet although the bath was quirky to say the least and the bathroom really should be upgraded. We were offered a room to freshen up before a late departure and this was much appreciated.

Nice hotel but hard to find
There are at least 6 Sunstar hotels scattered over a couple of streets. They all have slightly different names like Sunstar Grand, Sunstar Heritage etc. this confuses the taxi drivers. The rooms were quite comfortable but no windows at all which might not suit everyone. Breakfast was a fairly modest affair in the basement. The restaurant is on the roof but didn't seem very appealing. Fine for a last night in Delhi but if I was staying longer I'd try somewhere else.

A good hotel in Karol bagh
We stayed in room no.206, for 2nights, on March 23,24, 2014. Room is spacious, bathroom big. Hot water was available all times. I went with my mom, son and myself. We got an extra bed, which was like a memory foam, it was comfortable for my back, compared to the other beds in the room. Room service was good, food is ok. They provided us Idli and vada from outside, as we were the only guests that day, they also made puri exclusively for us, which was good. Swimming pool was not that appealing. Breakfast was arranged right next to it. They offered few items, but they were served hot and fresh. We were content. Wifi was available all the time in the room. Overall, we felt safe, which was very important to me as we were travelling without male company.

Hotel not being maintained, wrong location.
The staff was okay, but the breakfast was miserable. Most morning breafast serving consist of aloo nan and milk curds, which is not even close to an Indian breakfast. No brewing machines for coffee, only instant coffee with hot milk. It may be wise to have breakfast elsewhere. The indoor nonheated pool and the sauna is next to the breakfast area, offcourse you could smell the meldew from the sauna and the chemical in the pool.

Another nice stay....
This was my third stay and as always everything went smoothly. The hotel is great value and well appointed. The rooftop restaurant is a feature as is the breakfast. And it's a short walk to the metro.

OK but....
This was my second trip to India (first was to Mumbai). Based on these two experiences I would say that Indian hotels are expensive. You don't get too much for your money. I stayed at the Sunstar Grand on 3 occassions, each time for one night. For a post arrrival or predeparture one night stay it works. BUT The building is old and it shows its age - very dark (almost black) woodwork, dated wallpaper some of which is peeling. The staff keeps it clean but cannot erase the drab outdated reality of the structure. A minimal breakfast is provided but there is no restaurant (I used room service for my dinners; presumably they got the food from a nearby restaurant - OK food/fair prices). Helpful staff; TV, electric heater was available, street rooms somewhat noisy (suggest an interior room). For the Delhi market probably appropriately priced, but suffers badly if compared to nationwide chains of budget hotels/motels in the US. So I just give it an 'OK'. Final comment (not directed exclusively to this hotel) - The Delhi hotel market seems to be very causual with its use of descriptive terms such a 'deluxe', 'grand', etc. Don't take such adjectives seriously.

Hotellet er noget nedslidt, men prisen er selvfølgelig også derefter. Fra hotellet er det nemt at komme hen til metroen, men det kræver at man ikke har en ting bagage med. Der er massere af lokale spisesteder tæt på hotellet, men det er ikke et sted man har lyst til at gå rundt efter at det er blevet mørkt. Morgenmaden på hotellet er ikke speciel god, men deres køkken laver nogle ganske fortrinlige retter til aftensmad. Så hvis du har brug for et billigt sted at overnatte i Delhi er hotellet fint, men forvent ikke noget ekstraordinært

Service minded and clean hotel in Delhi
This is a very nice hotel, a lot of value for money. Its clean and the staff is very service minded. Mr Ramesh at the front desk was extremely helpful during my stay, and with organizing for me to meet the concierge (Travel Desk with Mr Mubarak) that together with me planned additional sightseeing to fit my individual schedule.

Séjour entre amis
Un séjour très agréable avec une équipe toujours aux petits soins. L’hôtel est situé près du métro et tous les transports sont accessibles. Les chambres sont assez spacieuses et confortables. Hotel ligt op goede lokatie. Personeel is erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk en staan altijd voor je klaar. Eten is matig, Bed was ongelijk qua matras hoogte.Kamer was schoon maar stonk ontzettend.Die geur was niet weg te krijgen terwijl de kamer schoon was. Zwembad was vies zodat we hier niet in hebben gezwommen.Enige voordeel van dit hotel is het goede personeel.

chambre correcte, personnel sympathique par contre piscine froide. salle de bain correcte mais à surveiller quand ils présente les chambres car la première présentée par l'établissement ne correspondait pas avec les photos de la réservations. Eau chaude difficile à avoir mais comme dans pas mal d'hôtels en inde

Hôtel très correct au vu des commentaires que nous avions vus ... la propreté est bien sachant que c’est en Inde ... Le personnel était très accueillant et à l’écoute !

お勧めしないホテルです
2013年8月3日と6日7日の2度デリー宿泊時に利用しました。トリップアドバイザーの評価とコメントが良かったので、宿泊先に選びましたが、お勧めできるホテルではありません。まず、シャワーのお湯が出たり出なかったりすること。シャワーカーテンが無いこと。日本語表示には送迎無料とあったのに、英語の案内には、その記載が無く、帰国時の空港へのタクシー代金を600ルピー(最初は650ルピーでしたが友達が値切りました)払ったことです。場所もメトロの駅から近いとは言えず、力車でメトロの駅から移動していました。

Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to you. Instead of curtains we have placed glass partitions. Pick up has been made complimentary and can be exchanged for a drop. Hot water issue has also been resolved.
