My family and I just stayed here for a long weekend. I cant think of anything negative to say. The staff were all so kind, everything was clean, the amenities were great, and breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend this hotel!

Fantastic New Option in Ankeny!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Home2 Suites. Our suite was perfect for us, and the amenities, such as the game room and the pool were really enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent, as well. We are in Ankeny nearly every spring, and this will be our first choice going forward.

Came to see a concert at The District - Prairie Trial, so Home2 Suites was just a couple blocks away. Beautiful hotel, but the entire area is fantastic. So many restaurants/pubs all within a five mins walk.

We had a several nights stay to visit family & friends. Our suite was quite generous in size with more than adequate amenities. Our only negative was the mattress was not very comfortable. We will note the bathroom fawcet & toilet paper holder were broken or improperly installed - disappointing for a recently opened facility.

Amazing! Minus beds.

If it wasn’t for the more than firm beds this would have been 5 stars. It was a great location. So beautiful and everything was 5/5 new nice and taken care of. Beds just need some oversight for comfort.

No room at the Inn

Got a call as I was pulling into the parking lot that “there was a pipe burst” and they didn’t have a room for me. I happened to be in town for work and know several people staying there, they didn’t see anything. Best guess is they overbooked and decided I wasn’t important enough to keep a room for. Found a nice hotel down the road that had a happy hour going when I got there and enjoyed some beer and appetizers

Great place for a night or two, spacious room with a couch (very firm), work space if needed, full size fridge, some dinnerware and a big sink. Reasonably comfy bed, but a very noisy AC unit. The coffee was very good and a wide ranging breakfast, noting fancy but far beyond continental.

Pool out of order entire stay

The main reason i booked this hotel was the pool, which was out of order the entire time. Kinda ruined the trip. Employees were great. Honestly i think i should get at least a partial refund.

Great choice in Ankeny

Very clean and modern. Large room with a couch and kitchenette. Huge shower. Lots of storage space. Only complaint is the heat didn’t regulate well. It was single digits while staying there and if heat wasn’t blowing out it was blowing cold air. Which is chilly when sleeping right in front of the vent. You can walk less than a block to visit bars and restaurants and shops. Great location.

Great hotel, great breakfast & clean. But noisy.

Myself and 3 kids stayed for one night due to a sports competition. Overall, the place was very nice, convenient and clean. Breakfast was great. However, it was so loud. So, so loud. Doors banging all night, loud tv sounds, people talking in the halls. We had a studio suite setup so the bedroom was to the back of the room with the kitchenette and living room closer to the door. Didn’t make any difference. It sounded like it all was happening right in the room. Maybe it’s just a wall thickness issue or something. But since it was a sports trip, barely being able to sleep was quite an issue for us. We even had a sound machine and it didn’t help at all unfortunately. In the future we would try a different location solely due to this issue.

Nice but hesitant to book again

Our stay was comfortable, but we noticed a few things that could have been improved. We usually get lucky with an early check-in, but early check-in was not an option at this hotel. We were allowed to use the pool before our 3pm check in, which was great! But we had to call to ask for pool towels, the bathroom in the pool area was under construction, and there was a VERY chilly gust into the pool from the door leading outdoors. I visited the women's bathroom right outside of the pool and there was no toilet paper or tissues available. Upon check in at 3pm, our room was ready and clean! However, it smelled like cigarette smoke. Finally, I visited the women's bathroom off of the breakfast area around 6:30am and again there was limited toilet paper and no paper towels. Another thing to note is my brother-in-law booked a room for the same night and was told they were overbooked for the room he selected- he was bumped to a different room than what he reserved. All of these things make us hesitant to book here again.
