"The room was inexpensive so I didn't expect a lot. The room was larger than I expected but there were some maintenance issues. There was no hot water in the room so I had to go to a different room down the hall to take a shower that had an electric water heater. The light over the sink in the bathroom didn't work but there was an electric kettle with tea and coffee available. Nice people in a very old building"

"The hotel’s location is excellent, right next to Loch Long, which makes for a great setting whether you’re there for work or leisure. The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room and bathroom were both very clean, which I really appreciated after long days.
The hotel itself is a bit dated, and could benefit from some modernisation, but everything was functional and comfortable. Despite the older feel, I’d happily stay again thanks to the location, cleanliness, and solid service."

"Getting a little dated. Small room. Time for new mattresses. Wonderful host with excellent breakfast. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating."

"The whole place needs serious facelift and structural work. Stairs are rickety, floors slope, showers dont work. Heating doesnt work. Should be shut for a complete revamp! "
