"Basic 3 star hotel Still you get the feeling of the old communists times Small rooms, basic fornitures Bathroom need some renovation The door on the bottom part was rotten Breakfast average Friendly staff Conveniently located in the main city square "

"super"

"I was highly dissatisfied as after a long drive and arriving late at night, the hotel informed me that I was not in the system (while I had my full confirmation with me). Moreover, the hotel was not as pictured and certainly not worth 100 USD a night. Nonetheless, after insisting that I must be in the system, the receptionist say `Ah yes, you are right, we relocated you (without my knowledge) to another hotel because we were overbooked.` The receptionist then provided me convoluted directions...

"Clean room, friendly staff, convenient parking. "

"This is a pleasant 3* hotel. Room was fine, but nothing fancy. Our room had a balcony. Parking is under the hotel, and can be reached by the elevator. Hotel is well located - about a block (through a "tunnel") from the central square. Room could have used more lighting. Desk clerk (Lucia) very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again."

"Nice cheap place to stay near the center. Free parking and friendly staff. "

"The hotel is beautiful. Zuzka was wonderful. She was patient, very efficient, kind and her English is excellent, which we really appreciated. Thank you again Zuzka! Hope to see you again! Jessica and the USA band Vio-lence. "

"very good service and communication"

"Very nice and clean hotel with helpful staff"

"This is a very posh, small (24 room) 5* hotel, located right in the center of the small town of Banska Stiavnica. We were the only guests that night, because the hotel had blocked reservations to get organized for the summer season (and forgot to block Expedia). The hotel owner was working the desk, and was extremely friendly and helpful. There is convenient and secure parking under the hotel. There are a few tourist attractions in town (most interesting - the mine tour) and there are other...

"Nice little hotel, great breakfast, cozy atmosphere, clean, bed a little hard for me but the other 5 family members did not share this concer. Good location. Would definitely come back."

"Cute hotel. Great location. Small but very workable rooms (shower a little awkward)."

"Great Hotel in a fantastic spot. Views are lovely. Staff and owners very friendly and accommodating. Food in the restaurant was incredibly delicious. Would stay again. "

"Let's start with the positives. The reception desk and café staff, were incredibly helpful and kind. The room was clean. The dining space was updated and clean and the staff did their best. The grounds were well kept. The negative were the other staff. No one spoke English and did not attempt to communicate in any other language, verbal or non-verbal. Listing a property on Expedia should include mention that English is not widely spoken when appropriate. Except for the cave steam bath, there...

"The hotel rate was fairly high for out of season and we were disappointed by a few things. The bed was very uncomfortable- like a piece of wood. The hotel advertises a pool and sauna, but it is open for only two hours a day and we had to request they let us in and turn it on. The restaurant, although it has friendly staff, does not serve good food and the ambiance is terrible."

"Very nice staff, great and interesting looking hotel, and good location. Only downside is the lack of airconditioning in the room on these hot summer days. "

"Very comfortable stay in a nice location. I enjoyed it and could see myself purchasing a vacation home there eventually."
