"Clean rooms and Helpful staff"

"Cute hotel, very clean, newly remodeled. Looks like a log cabin inside of the luxury King's, which includes a kitchenette, living room, bathroom with tub/shower combo, separate bedroom with walk in closet. Things to note, parking is extremely tight. We drive a full-size truck, and you are definitely doing 12 point turns to get in and out of parking spots. Room AC's work very well, towels and linens were clean, staff is very friendly. The decor of the room is super cute, has a log cabin feel to it. We stayed on the lodge side; our daughter stayed on the cabin side. Both sides of the hotel were very clean and decorated nicely. The only complaint I had was the parking being so tight, and the bed was extra firm; outside of that our stay was great. You are only a 5-minute drive from downtown, but far enough away from downtown that you are not swarmed with all the tourists. The on-site cafe looked very good, was packed every single morning with a wait to get in. We unfortunately didn't get to try it because we had other plans, but we will next visit for sure. The lady cleaning the rooms as checkout is super sweet! "

"Historic hotel with lots of history. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Time has taken a toll on the building but renovations are underway. Beds were comfortable and atmosphere was pleasant. "

"The beds were rock hard, soap dispenser at the sink was empty, stairs crumbled as we came down nearly causing my husband to fall, and breakfast options were waffles or cereal. "

"Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff initially seemed helpful. After we unpacked and showered, we realized the TV in our room wasn’t working. Someone came to try to fix it but couldn’t, and since we had already settled in, he offered a $25 courtesy discount instead of moving rooms. The next morning we were woken up by the front desk asking to come check the TV, which was frustrating. We were also never told the continental breakfast hours, so by the time we went down it had already ended and we didn’t get to eat. When I asked the front desk about the $25 discount that had been offered the night before, they said they weren’t sure if they could apply it and needed to check with a colleague. Overall the stay was okay, but communication between staff and with guests could definitely be better."
