A few good restaurants are nearby with excellent Moldovan cuisine and local music. Codru is a nice and clean hotel with excellent food, especially the dinner. They have a good wine selection too - don't miss the reds with the local grapes, Rara Neagra and Sapravi. The staff are English speaking and were excellent. "I stayed in Chisinau for 6 days and each day was different.The hotel is really a set of apartments , so don't expect your typical hotel services.Other than that , it's a good place to stay .A special mention has to go to Juliana , the receptionist , who will go out of her way to be of assistance .All the staff I encountered were friendly , though not all spoke English .
