"It's a very clean hotel, the ownership is very friendly and helpful. It is not a modern cookie cutter hotel or building. It is the Victorian era. It is not fancy in modern terms. The stairs are steep and narrow, they way they were done at the time it was built. I would like more lighting on them. Breakfasts were good and satisfying. I had plenty of hot water. "

"Excellent hotel on Queens Promenade, friendly staff and very clean rooms. Breakfast a bit expensive at £14 full English or £10 Continental per day. Four floors with a very small lift with two metal gates rather than a door. My room on the third floor was very comfortable though the window was in a strange place behind the TV in the corner so there was little natural light i the room. Bus stops right outside the hotel and electric railway just a 5 minute walk away . I would recommend this...
