"Property as difficult to reach by vehicle, particularly at night. Situated a long way from Ella with very limited dining options. Rooms are very basic with no amenities. Breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. "

"This was a very pleasant basic hotel with an extraordinary view of the valley. The staff were super helpful. The breakfast was plentiful. The AC worked well. The only catch was when the generator didn’t work during a brief brownout."

"Lovely staff, clean rooms, view of Ella valley. Difficult to find, so it's best to have driver call ahead if possible. Look for the signs pointing towards Red Rock Ella,.which is next door. "

"Very different kind of stay compared to a regular hotell. Nice view from the balcony with monkeys jumping around in the trees. The cottage was also clean and no problem to walk to Ella city centre from it. The guy who saw to the place was very friendly and helpfull. Good breakfast as well. "

"Inaccessible property (have to pay extra to a tuk tuk to get in and out) and dated, unclean condition overall. Great views but poor service, lacklustre food and menu, and rooms are old, dirty, with poor beds and mattresses. We had to check out 1 night early to stay somewhere else, it was a poor hotel that is in desperate need updating. Definitely not the experience that we paid for, and it felt like the food menu was over priced too. Finally, a horrific smell of trash from an open rubbish dump...

"Pls do not stay here. It is a scam. We gave us rooms that we did not book, in the basement of the motel. The sink had spider webs and termites were crawling on the bathroom counter. Towels were stained, fridge had mold, Mountain View was non existent. The stench was unbearable. Staff were incompetent. "
