"Reserving room, check-in, and check-out were super easy and pleasant. The room was immaculate and couldn't have been cleaner. Attendant cheerfully allowed me to inspect the room before committing to the reservation. I went over it with a fine-toothed comb to check for cleanliness (and mainly bed bugs) and couldn't even find a stitch of dust much less anything else. Not a single sign of pests, and I inspected the headboards, chairs, table, beds, and linens. SOOOO CLEAN! Staff respected the Do Not Disturb sign. We spent a lot of time in the room and were never disturbed by noise of any kind. Our third floor room faced the back of the hotel which was brightly lit. There was an air of safety. The air conditioning worked great. Television was a big screen with sharp detail. Very nice. Ample parking. This hotel is in the heart of everything and it was utterly convenient. Super clean and safe swimming pool, too! Five stars, Chincoteague Inn! * * * * * World class cleanliness and accommodations."

"Overall a good stay. The room was quiet. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were half-sized. Room was clean but smelled strongly of disinfectant, which gave my wife a headache. Went to get ice but the ice machine was out of service. We had to leave very early so we didn’t have a chance to have breakfast but that area looked well equiped and clean. It was only a stop on a bigger trip so we didn’t use the pool but it looked nice and well maintained. It was a nice stay and our main complaint was the overly strong smell of disinfectant or air freshener."

"I love this place. Nice ice maker, gazebo, screened in picnic tables, small pool, great TV selection. I had a room with a fridge, microwave, stove, toaster, full size coffee pot, and blow dryer. Lots of cabinets for storage-bring your own pots and pans & utensils. I like having my own place to cook, because I eat a specific diet. The room was clean. Staff were friendly once they realized that I was friendly."

"Great location! The Refuge Inn's rooms were individually decorated and very quaint. A pony pen was next to the hotel that our grandkids loved to visit and feed corn kernels to the ponies. Staff was friendly and made us feel like guests not customers."

"Loved the balcony scenery. There is no smoking on the property. I wish they would make an area designated for smokers or allow them to smoke on the balconies designated area would be phenomenal. Other than that stay was wonderful"
