"Excellent stay and quite spacious! Rita was an amazing host, and her breakfast was quite filling. I’ll be going back for a cooking class! This location is also very quiet and private, which I appreciated."

This guy s a fantastic hotel! Wonderful facilities and food.
Also, the staff are super helpful and friendly - sent us to a great garage who fixed our broken rear view mirror
The area is spectacular!
A five star place!

Location to the slopes is great. Sadly the snow was lacking and by 2 o’clock the bottom slopes were slush and unskiable, however, this wasn’t the hotels fault and more global warming and the lack of snow throughout March. The Spa in the hotel I believe is worth it (20€) and you get 3 hours to chill out. The food was good although, a little pricey, 77€ for a starter and 2 mains washed down by a house glass of white and 1 local beer is a little steep. The staff spoke English and they had a Land...

I would like to say Rita is a fabulous lady and host. Very warm welcome and had the best night sleep for a long time. Very close to station and pizzeria. Home made pasta was delicious. Highly recommended. Will be staying again. Thank you Rita.

Amazing hotel , spectacular views ,food was delicious and the staff were exceptional Book a room with breakfast as probably works out cheaper especially if you don't have a car to get to Barga
You can take a shuttle from hotel but only at certain times so this can be limiting.. Taxi service available but expensive if only two of you paying, car hire is very reasonable and you can make the most of the area as lots of places to visit.
We took a train to Pisa from Barga for a day trip which was...

The hotel was lovely - a big spacious room. The staff were attentive and helpful especially the chambermaid and the engineering student from Pisa! Breakfast was plentiful and interesting. Very peacefull apart from the market morning when stalls are set up very early in the main street. Alittle bit of heaven in such interesting surroundings. We ate in the sister hotel but think the nearby Foriestieri was 5 Star - highly recommended in fab building. Beware portions are large.

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing stay at Amelia. Was welcomed by Il Capo and his family (Fabio and his wife and 2 sons) special shout out to Fabio and Eduardo who spoke very good English and recommended us great places to visit. They made us feel like being at home. Their hotel has a small pool… perfect for a dip in to cool off and a brand new jacuzzi which was a bonus! Great location with nice views from the rooms. Very peaceful little village. They served breakfast lunch a dinner which was...

La Lanterna is a modern 3* hotel located on the outskirts of Castelnuovo, about a 15 min walk from the town centre. It has a good public restaurant, a separate breakfast room and a swimming pool. Rooms are spacious and comfortable…my bathroom had a whirlpool bath. The staff were friendly and the food good. There were a couple of niggles: neither of our rooms had a working safe and the fridges had been removed, which was a pity.
That aside, we enjoyed the stay, thought it good value and would...
