"Firstly, I’ve traveled extensively and never complained about a hotel but this have one was really bad.
Hotel staff at front desk unwelcoming and rude. Shockingly poor experience compared with all the other hotels we stayed at in Italy.
Our room smelled oppressively like cologne or chemical scent. Clearly they’re masking other smell. It smelled so bad I got an headache and our clothes smelled for hours after only 30 minutes in the room. Also the Bathroom smelled oppressively heavily of...

"Clean room, the lady on reception was so welcoming and allowed us to leave our bags as we had a later flight. Great location as it's about 20 minutes walk to the centre. Only thing I would say is bring portable chargers as we only had one plug socket in the bathroom."

"Cute boutique style hotel. Spacious rooms with eccentric decor. Throwback to the 1960’s/70’s. Bathrooms are small but worked fine overall. Quiet are away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Great restaurants around the property and a 20 min easy walk, with some bridge stairs, to St. Marks square. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, but it’s a continental breakfast. We enjoyed our stay. "

Clawfoot bathtub/shower combo not ideal.
Restaurant staff not overly friendly (especially during breakfast service).
Came back late afternoon and house keeping was still servicing our room (no problem) so we went down to the restaurant to enjoy a glass of wine while we waited. We were told we could not sit at a table for just wine and would each have to order a meal (we had already eaten lunch, and were only there due to room still being serviced)"

"It's a small hotel, with only five rooms. It's in an interesting brick building. The proprietor, Daria, was really friendly and helpful. Our room looked like it was recently renovated. The main room was quite large and the bathroom was huge. The hotel is a five-minute walk from San Basilio vaporetto stop. We really like this hotel and would certainly recommend it."
