"The setting of HR Bloomington, MN, is really great because it off the strip in a nice green office park, with things like a grocery, restaurant off site, park benches, plants, etc. You cannot even hear the major interstates that are moments away. The MSP Light Rail stops right outside, so you don’t need a car to visit the downtowns, UMN Campus, or many civic attractions, such as Minnehaha Falls. Places like Ikea, MOA, REI, are 5’ by Uber or Lyft, again no car needed. The lobby is beautiful, an open feeling, long fireplace, Hans Wegner seating, the the cocktail bar and restaurant in eyesight. The air feels very well ventilated/circulated, at a perfect temperature. Restaurant/Market prices are reasonable, not out-pricing the guests, and the food surprisingly good, especially for non-destination dining. The only downside in this regard was under-staffing I imagine, since the wait at the market for anything from the kitchen was always 25’ (not the actual restaurant). The weight room is nice with up to date machines, and the pool is really clean, the room does not smell of chlorine, plenty of plush towels, and a great view. I wished there were kickboards. Our room was nice, comfortable bed a little too foam-soft for reading, so plan for that if you’re a bed reader. Carpet SEEMED clean, the chair’s upholstery needed cleaning really, but the sofa seemed newer and was comfortable. Good shower, water pressure (7th Fl), tap water here is good. New bath & tub mats needed, good towels"
