The room and bathroom and bedroom was very clean. So is the kitchen. The staff is also extremely helpful. Unfortunately, in our first room, the microwave did not work at all so they switched us to another room where there were two microwaves. One did not work, but the other one did work. Also, our first room seemed to have all of the pots and pans that we would have needed in the second room. So I guess if you need pots and pans and cups and things like that at the front desk because unfortunately, some guests have sticky fingers. It looks as though the hotel is kind of in the middle Of patching up and repairing here and there, but overall we had a very nice day. It was quiet and there were no loud children running up and down the halls. No loud parties and if there were any drug addicts, we didn't see or hear them. The breakfast is OK. There's no meat, but there are some hard boiled eggs and everything else is basically sweet rolls and cereal and toast and coffee. We would stay here again if we were in the area. Good water pressure in the bathroom by the way, and the bathtubs and toilet and sink was very clean and nice.

Overall, the stay was average, but there were several issues that made it feel underwhelming. A few things in the room didn’t work properly, including the toilet and the kitchen sink, which leaked during our stay. There were also no sheets provided for the pull-out bed, so we had to rely on our own ingenuity to make something work. While none of these problems were major on their own, together they added up and took away from the overall experience. The breakfast was also pretty lackluster. The options were limited, and items that were supposed to be hot were barely warm. There wasn’t much variety, and things ran out quickly without being restocked in a timely manner. The staff was polite, and the location was convenient, but with the maintenance issues and disappointing breakfast, the stay didn’t quite meet expectations. It wasn’t terrible, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

There was a puddle of water on the floor next to the toilet, the bathroom faucet was broken so there was only a trickle of hot water, and the heating system came on constantly for short periods of time and was very noisy. Also, the card key wouldn’t work after going down for breakfast and returning to the room.

I stay here when I visit Dubuque. I won't stay anywhere else!! The front desk staff is amazing! They are very personable and courteous. The room is always clean and the price is very affordable!!

Checked in and was supposed to have a 2 queen one pull out sofa bed suite for my family of 5. I was told they don’t have my room and shifted blame to hotels.com because it is sometimes an issue with third party sites. They only had a king bed suite that we had to make do. I know it wasn’t an issue with a third party site as my in laws were also staying there and my sister in law forgot to finalize her reservation through hotels.commso she called the hotel an hour before we all got there and they got her a 2 queen suite…which was our room. I’m not sure why they would give our room away considering it was already paid for. The front desk staff I talked with the next day even said “Oh, they gave them your room!” The room has a bad odor in it but sufficed for the evening. On a positive note, the room my in laws got was pretty good. Didn’t smell, plenty of space. Breakfast was very limited.

I tried to stay here about a month ago and it was a terrible experience. Short story, we arrive and are given the wrong room (which was dirty, i have pics) with a lower occupancy than stated on Orbitz (no sofa bed), are treated adversarially by the front desk when i try to explain the problem, end up having to stay accross the street even though the room we had paid for (at a higher rate than was currently listed) was available. Refund was never given when manager was contacted by both Orbitz and myself. Who runs a hotel like this? How easy a fix is it to say "Oh, yes i see your orbitz reservation was for the room with a sofa-bed, we have that room available and you paid more than we are asking for that room, lets switch you over, no problem!" Instead they want to play a blame game with orbitz, while giving me attitude, and i end up getting stuck with paying for two rooms, eventhough the fault is somewhere between these two large companies. Basically, the owner of the manager/owner of this hotel cares more about pocketing my nightly fee than he does about his customers or the long term prospects of the hotel. Stay somewhere else, as others have said, if there is a problem, you are SOL.

There was a dried out coffee filter in my room coffee pot. The breakfast in the motel itself only had waffles for a hot item and the rest was bagels, toast, cold cereal and yogurt.

Our fridge did not work and it smelled. Our remote was cracked and only worked half the time. Not clean and staff not helpful. DO NOT STAY HERE.
