"We stayed here last week, 2 adults and 2 teenagers- all women. We felt very safe and comfortable here, that’s one of the first things we look for as we travel quite a bit and don’t experience that everywhere. We had a double queen room and they put us in a corner room. I can’t say enough about how amazing this little hotel was. The staff was all so nice and helped us up 2 flights of stairs with our bags, the location was so convenient for everything! The room clean and so bright (since it had two huge windows from being a corner room.) The little room where you check-in had snacks at nighttime and the kids loved making microwave popcorn after a long day of beaching it and shopping. We rented beach towels and chairs, which was super convenient for us. The beach was steps away. As for the bad… the walls are VERY thin. We could hear everything outside and the island definitely gets up early! The trash collector sounded like they were coming in through the walls and the price was much higher than expected once everything was added on, but I blame the second party vendor for that. I’m going to try to book for next year, same weekend directly with the hotel. I believe the hotel set the tone for our entire little getaway and we really loved MV so much. Thank you to everyone at MV Surfside, it was better than we expected."
