"We found the Westerwood to be very charming. We used the spa facilities, watched the world cup game in the evening, and played a round of golf in the morning. Disappointing that we were never offered a scorecard from the pro shop, also be aware the course is pretty long and you need to pre-book a buggy! The course was lovely, well maintained and worth the hike!"

However, the room let the experience down — the bed sheet was old and had iron burn marks, and the shower was dirty and electric kettle not well maintained. Overall, a mixed stay with great service and food, but improvements are needed in room cleanliness."

"Great place for an overnight stay or two. Easy to find ample parking either on street or to the rear of the property. Great little place, decent clean and well kept. Room was comfortable and slept well. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast and easy check in and out."

"A very comfortable room, with a nice clean bathroom. A warm welcome from reception. A very good restaurant. Minor issues for improvement are with the signing. It’s not quite clear from the upper level of the car park where reception is (it’s down the steps) nor was it clear how to enter the restaurant from the stairs. However very reasonably priced and better than a soulless Travelodge."

"We had the most amazing stay at this cosy, comfortable cabin surrounded by greenery. It was like living in a tree house. The birdsong was beautiful as were the sunsets and views of the night sky. The cabin was spacious enough for two and had everything we needed for our week long stay, including parking. There is a log fire with plenty of wood for cold days but we were very lucky with the weather and had warm sunshine every day which made the cabin warm and cosy to come back to after days out....

"This place is only an hour drive from the Edinburgh airport and great place to start your drive into Scotland. I got there way before "check in" but I was able to leave my car and walk to the Castle and enjoy the city. The room was warm and cozy and it was so great to have pub/restaurant onsite. The food was great and it was a great start to my Scotland vacation."
