"We really enjoyed our stay at Phinneywood Basement Hideaway. We slept very well. The property was easy to access and the rental was well equipped with kitchen items for cooking at home, and had plenty of bathroom accessories (towels & toilet paper). It was well lit at night and best of all, it was very affordable for our six-day stay. We hope to be back!"

"We absolutely loved staying in this charming 1925 ‘craftsman’ home. She has a lot of character and one can almost imagine the stories this home holds! All that one would need is provided and the fact that groceries and restaurants were in walking distance is a huge plus (btw, walking the alley to all is much less taxing than taking the sidewalk out front! "Clean room. Comfortable furniture "

"My wife and I stayed in a room with a private bathroom, and we feel that this was a nice place to stay for two nights. (Note however that there's no room that is accessible without using stairs.) The room was rather simple but clean and comfortable. Hot coffee was available even in the evening in the common kitchen area. The location is very convenient for visiting UW, the surrounding area is vibrant but not too noisy, yummy food at reasonable prices in walking distance. There was one gotcha...

"The property was amazing. Things I didn’t like, it was a basement unit, and always cool. No way to control the temperature ( that I could find) in the unit. The only parking is on the street. I had to plan ahead what to bring in. The neighbors in the back, had an Apple tree. There were yucky, dead apples all along the path to the back and the stairs. I was visiting my grandson in the UW district. Was very convenient for that "
