"My second time staying. This time the sweet had a beautiful expanded and modern kitchen. However, virtually no dishes, pots or pans and no cutlery. Needless to say it was a beautiful kitchen, but not as much use except to keep things in the fridge. Manager should at least add some cutlery."

"The Haar Rooms is a wonderful small inn. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. The included breakfast was excellent. And, it is very conveniently located a hundred yards or so from The Old Course and just a short walk to all of the restaurants, shops and historic sites in St. Andrews. It is also reasonably priced compared to the larger golf hotels nearby. I highly recommend it."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. Pam was friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were excellent. We could see the sea from our bedroom window. It is a little far to the centre of town, so if you don't have a car, be prepared."

"Check-in was quick and easy and the room was clean. Good water pressure in the shower. It's a bit of a maze and there's several buildings so they showed me mine. Breakfast was good, but the first day the buffet coffee was very watered down and weak. Air-conditioning didn't go below 20 on the cool setting, but it was fine for me. "The hotel is a bit of a walk if you don't have a vehicle. Price wise, it was on the high side so you don't get outstanding value. There is extra charges for breakfast, checking in early as well so it just felt like for the price that you don't get a lot."
