Flackley Ash Country House Hotel

"Overall the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and well presented but the ceiling coving needs reducing above the bed and the corridor could be cleaned and decorated. Breakfast was excellent with good service. We didn't use the spa but looked clean and presentable l."

"We stayed at The Grand Hotel Eastbourne for a family birthday trip in early July. The building itself is grand and the location is lovely, but a few things fell short for a 5-star property. The bath wasn't as clean as I'd expect, and the carpets in our room looked quite dated. For the price point, I was expecting a more polished finish throughout. We were also overcharged on our bill, which was frustrating to sort out. Nice enough stay overall, but it didn't quite live up to the 5-star billing."

"Great location, excellent staff. My room had a wonderful sea view. There was a relatively new carpet and a really comfortable bed, but there were a few cracks in the bathroom sink that needed repair and the paintwork was a bit tired. It didn’t take away from a relaxing stay and would definitely consider it again."

"Phone number on greeting , then met by mrmbef of staff , could do with a lick of paint lower half of front of house as im guessing directly opposite besch pai t gets battered by wind ,but first impressions wasnt great . My room was lovely location wss great and staff when i ohoned and met them were great"

"Lovely room king sea view we had an unexpected balcony big plus Shower good comfortable big bed Terrace good service a bit disjointed .waiting staff often didn't know where to take orders Disappointed with deckchairs Email said your resererved deckchair and umbrella await. On arrival few scattered sunlloungers no umbrellas no shade Excellent food fir dinner large portions Breakfast bit disappointing. Poached eggs hard but omlette good and verry good continental selection But great location and a definite return"

"Quaint town, great location. Staff very helpful, took my bag to the room, necessary given a twisty set of hallways (charming) which entailed 3-4 step sections. Bar open until 11:30pm a plus, breakfast good. If you are there in the summer and it’s hot, ask for a fan. They have them and needed as there is no a/c."
