"This is the first time I stayed at a hostel and I’m quite happy about it. The location is great, pretty near to the Merlion Park and the Old Parliament Building (which was where I was looking to go) and a few minutes walk away to the subway station. The room and shared bathroom were very clean and the bunk beds didn’t feel too claustrophobic and was pretty comfortable to sleep in, even managed to do some work on my laptop sitting in it. The stairs to go up the upper bunk is a little small tho...

"What I can say is that the attention to details is what seperate the hotel from other luxury hotels. I think anyone who books a luxury hotel wouldve expected to be greeted upon arriving, to have enough amenities for their stay, to have comfortable bed to sleep in. The difference for us was the details. They knew we brought our son, so seeing us throwing away diapers, they prepared a diaper bin on our second day. Not wanting to disturb us on a late night request for water, they decided to knock...

"We had a wonderful short stay at Raffles recently as part of a stopover in Singapore on our way to New Zealand. We travelled as a family with our two small children (ages 2 and 6 months). We were a bit nervous about staying in such a nice hotel with the kids but the staff were extremely accommodating and we were able to check in early so we could all nap after our flight. The suites are easily big enough for a rollaway bed and a cot and Raffles even provides separate children’s bedding, towels...
