"What can I say, a fantastic hotel experience!! Clean, extremely comfortable and excellent service from all staff! Lovely breakfast, great location, Cosy bar area, nearby covered parking and a lovely little spa. The outdoor pool boasts amazing views of the mountains, just magical!! I highly recommend this lovely little property, my only improvement comment is the toilet roll provided in rooms which is a little too rough, so I purchased my own. Other than that, our experience was faultless....

"After a grueling week of work in Paris, this was a quick 3 day ski trip before heading back home to NY, and this hotel did everything right. Very comfortable room with a spectacular view of the slopes, nice amenities, perfect breakfast before heading out for a day of skiing, nice bar with a fireplace to relax away from the crowds of British bros in town, convenient ski room, good location in the center of Val Claret village, close walking distance to the main lifts .. "We are a family of four, with two college-age children, and had a wonderful stay at the Samovar. We stayed in one of the family rooms, which was perfect for us (with two beds in a spacious upstairs loft). The hotel is perfectly located -- literally across the street from the Dailles gondola (and only about a block from the funicular to the summit). There are a couple of restaurants nearby, including a great Savoyarde spot across the street. There is a regular shuttle bus to the main village of...

"Great location close to restaurants, bars and supermarket. Not ski in/out but only a short walk to the nearest lift. Spa facilities were great to unwind after busy day on the slopes. Will be back"

"The breakfast was excellent, the public spaces very nice, access to the steam/sauna and pool was great. It's a little further from the lifts than most in Val Claret, but that wasn't a problem, it's still a short walk. Only issue was the size of the rooms, they felt a bit cramped, and one had to take real care to put away ski clothes and equipment to keep it uncluttered."
