"When we got in our room the smell was really bad, and I do not have a very good sense of smell and it was strong to me. It may have been mold. My son also sat on the couch and had black marks on his shorts so I took a towel to the couch and the towel was filthy from whatever was on it. After a couple of hours my nose and throat started getting scratchy from whatever the smell was so I told the front desk we can't stay in the room. She said they didn't have any more rooms so I could checkout if needed but since I went through Hotels.com they couldn't cancel my reservation. I called and Hotels.com tried to contact them and they wouldn't answer. I went back to the desk and everything was closed at 8:15 PM which seemed very strange. I got a new number to call and they told me I could leave but it was up to the manager on whether I would get a refund or not. I did leave because I determined it wasn't healthy for my son or myself to sit in the room with whatever that smell was and I am still awaiting that decision. The hotel itself is absolutely nothing like the pictures. I have stayed in some rough places in my day and this one is right up there. If you are a solo male looking for a place to sleep for the night you would be fine, however I would not bring kids or stay any longer. There is a kitchen however our room had no utensils at all but did come with a couple of plates and cups. "

"We had a great stay. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The AC worked great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Its very centrally located and right across from ASU downtown campus. The valet parking is expensive but is very easy to get your car when you need it. Its very convenient and easier than trying to find your own parking. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when in town visiting our daughter at ASU."

"I had a room with 2 queen beds. I stayed on the 16th floor and the view of the mountains was perfect. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There is a refrigerator in the room. A microwave should be added instead of having to go downstairs to the market to use theirs. Plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as a grocery store around the corner. The staff at the front desk as well as the restaurants and gift shop were very friendly and helpful. You do have to pay to park either with their valet service or in the garage. I chose the garage which was $20 daily. This property is in a great location here in downtown Phoenix. I would definitely stay here again. "
