There was no AC in the front lobby area, pool area, seating area for breakfast and the front doors were propped open all weekend with an industrial fan blowing in...

"This was OK for an overnight stay. It definitely needs some maintenance, but it was overall clean. The whirpool tub was nice for a soak, but we didn’t run the motor because it was unbelievably loud. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast with some hot food items. The staff was quick with check-in and available. "

"We stay here every few months when visiting family in the area. It’s the best hotel for the price, rooms are always clean, beds are comfortable, and the included breakfast is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our only issues have been outside the building. Shady people doing shady things in the parking lot aren’t really the property owner’s fault, but they’ve happened every time we’ve been there. The sitting areas outside are literally covered in spiders - I wish they would run a broom over...

"This is an old and dated motel. Nothing fancy and not ever going to be more than a 2 star hotel, but clean and comfortable. Very nice bed. Plumbing worked well, with good supply of soap/shampoo/etc. And the price was great. Good place for a night if you need or want to stay in Marceline."
