We loved this place for a short stay at the end of our holiday visiting friends in Rolle. A large, spacious bedroom/dining/kitchen combo for a family of five. And an excellent and generous breakfast delivered to our door each day. Only suitable if you have a car. If we haven’t been visiting friends, we’d have loved to eat a meal in the secluded and leafy courtyard - clearly a popular venue for local people.

We stayed in the ‘new’ block which is separate from the main hotel and the room was great - comfortable large bed, great bathroom and strong air-con which we needed due to heatwave. Lovely hotel with an excellent breakfast - parking was very steep at 30 CHF but there was also an option to park in the large public car park opposite free of charge.

I booked the Royal Savoy to celebrate both my birthday and wedding anniversary. The hotel has recently had a major refurbishment after being closed for 5 years. The style is nouveau chic with the standard of service in the hotel being excellent. The staff are very attentive but not overly so. The room we had was a deluxe, which is the entry level, but given the prices was what we could afford. Clean and very private and quiet room.

Was a comfortable stay. One thing I will say is, states breakfast included, So we was shocked that we was told only adults, children was not allowed to eat breakfast, and we would have to pay for them separately. By someone who was working the breakfast area, Which is terrible, as we included all children on our booking. So every person should have be able to have breakfast. We celebrated birthday and hotel made it really memorable.

Really nice hotel in a great location, don't fool yourself into thinking you can walk there with you case from the station though - It's not far but it's a massive hill. The staff throughout could not be more helpful and friendly, they really make the stay. The only thing is that it is very expensive, breakfast is CHF40 and diner at any of the hotel's restaurants is very expensive (but also very nice!!). There are plenty of good alternatives within an easy walk though. I would highly recommend...

They also provided us with a complimentary travel ticket for the town, making our sightseeing very nice and easy.

Starling hotel is an amazing option to stay in Lausanne. We stayed for 5 nights. This is our second stay in the same hotel. Very convenient place to stay. Helpful and Welcoming front desk team and cafe staff. Good breakfast. Clean room and hardworking housekeeping. Nice view from the room. Highly recommend this place if you want to spend few days in beautiful Lausanne.
