"Favorite place to stay in DC. There was a problem with the A/C but maintenance fixed it right away. Staff is courteous and the rooms are spacious."

"I was very pleased with my stay. The staff was welcoming, and the room was clean, nice and quiet. The morning coffee in the lobby was a nice treat, and the dining room menu was terrific, and the food was delicious. There was a nice courtyard to relax, and the neighborhood was convenient, safe and peaceful. One suggestion: More and brighter overhead lights in room."

"Lovely hotel and staff. Great location to National Mall. Only input has to do with the room design. They are trend focused but not sleep focused. The edges and design need a softening, curtain would be helpful —Our bed was stiff and pillows too large for sleeping. Thankfully, as soon as I thought to request smaller pillows in the early morning hours, the staff immediately provided them."

"Valet backed my SUV into a pillar in the parking garage. Tried to buff it out, unplugged my dash cam and do everything but be honest and tell me about it. Too late, it recorded everything I needed to know. Saw a lot of really nice expensive vehicles being left in their care, be forewarned! Their insurance better handle this well. $75 for valet service is crazy enough... my vehicle should not have been damaged!"

"Just a few little quibbles. The Pembroke lunch and dinner menus were trying too hard to be "fancy." Nothing under $16 for breakfast, and no burger for dinner. The Doyle was the other extreme; a desert at breakfast time (9:30?); has to track down the server. Having to call room service for ice every darned time was a drag. The TV selection could have been better. And I had real problems getting the in-room coffee brewer to work."
