"Beautiful hotel, great staff and in the middle of the historic district. The draw back is the pool bar never opened in the 5 days we were there and there was 8 chase lounge chairs around the pool (2 were ripped) and 40 people looking for someplace to lay in the sun!! Would stay there again but wouldn’t expect to use the pool. Best barista ever, in the hotel coffee stand and the valet staff is phenomenal! "

"There are no luggage racks in the rooms. You have to ask for one. Our phone in the room didn’t work. We had to go to the front desk to ask for things. We were there 5 nights and it was never fixed. They put us in an atrium room. This is not a typical atrium. People can see into your room is the blinds are open. The room does not get very dark. There’s no curtains. "

"Westin overbooked the property and let Expedia know at around 8am. When we arrived at 11:30am, I had received no notification from Expedia. I called them, waited on hold for some 60 minutes. Ultimately, they disconnected me. In the meantime, I was chatting with their call center in India. I was disconnected from 3 agents with no explanation. The fourth was brave enough to let me know that he couldn’t help me because their systems had been for the last three hours and they were told that they should be repaired in 30 minutes ago…2.5 hours before. In the meantime, Expedia notified me with an email (some 4 hours after Westin had notified them) that I could rebook myself at another hotel, and they would not charge me for the Westin… We were looking forward to golfing and hanging out at the pool…something you can’t get at any other Savannah hotel, so we booked a flight home and are hoping that Expedia now does the honorable thing and reimburse us for the change fees on the flight, the Uber to the hotel, and of course the night at the Westin. So note to other Expedia users, you may want to independently verify a hotels average occupancy rate on any given stay you make with Expedia and their booking rate for the period of your stay. Expedia can’t provide any protection, and they certainly were not proactive at making the situation better. Hopefully, they will come through on the back side to preserve our relationship. We have been Gold members for years…"
