"My husband I had the pleasure of staying here over the last weekend of October and the experience was exactly what we hoped it to be. The inn is beautiful and our room was spacious and featured everything we needed for our three nights stay. We appreciated that the homecooked breakfast was plated at 9am which allowed for us to sleep in without losing much of the morning. We used Colchester as our homebase for day trips to Shelbourne, Burlington, and Stowe. This is a convenient location for all three so long as you are comfortable with drives ranging from 20-45 minutes. We'd happily choose the Ellis Inn again the next time we are in this part of Vermont."

"Loved every minute. The third floor in the main house is up really steep and narrow stairs. If you cant navigate that please let them know when you reserve. Its part of the charm and an old inn. Loved breakfast, loved the bar and dinner. Everything was excellent and well executed."
