"The 1st room was horrible. It smelled bad. When I pulled the blankets back to go to bed the were several black hairs and stains on the sheets. There were small pieces of chips in the cupboard. There were several small sticky spots on the floor. There were also brown spot on one of the pillows. When I went to the front desk to report the problems. I had to wake up the clerk. The she acted like I made the mess and was rude. She put me in a different. This room was a bit cleaner but still had its own problems. The stove top had a film over that was nasty and was easily scraped off. There was also a spot in the cupboard that looked like dried milk. When I brought this to the manager attention she said had spoken to the house keeper. The manager acted like I was bothering her."

"This hotel perfectly met the needs of our family of three. Check in and check out were easy. The location for visiting downtown Columbia and the zoo was quite convenient, and of course the price was better than staying right downtown. You also have convenient food, gas, and grocery shopping options within a mile or so. The property was clean, parking was easy, and we didn't have any problems. It was our second time to stay at a StayAPT and it works for us. Be advised that these properties do not have 24-hour front desk service, the service is more limited than at a traditional hotel, so that might not work for all travelers."

"I stayed at this property for a very short visit and unfortunately had a concerning experience with both room conditions and how issues were handled by management. Upon check-in, there were crumbs on the floor near the bed. When this was brought up, I felt the issue was dismissed and the crumbs were attributed to my child, despite us having just arrived and only having brought pizza into the room after noticing the condition. During my stay, the vanity fixture in the room fell and landed on me. This same broken vanity/board had exposed nails, and I was later instructed to move it myself, which created a serious safety concern. Instead of this being treated as a maintenance or safety issue, I was told I had “forcibly caused it to fall” which felt like blame was being shifted rather than the issue being addressed appropriately. Additionally, the door lock in the original room did not function properly, which resulted in us needing to change rooms late at night around 11pm. During this process, a staff member mentioned she would “get in trouble” for moving us but also stated that “the customer is always right,” which felt unprofessional and confusing given the situation. Overall, while many staff members were kind and helpful—including housekeeping, who were pleasant and responsive, and the breakfast attendants, who were especially friendly and attentive—the experience was significantly impacted by how the issues were handled by management."

"This Holiday Inn Express has all the amenities you’d expect. Very Clean, modern, pleasant check-in and decent breakfast. We’ve stayed several times and will again."

"Terrible experience. When we first arrived to the room, you could smell marijuana inside the room. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the pool area. As soon as you opened the balcony door you were hit with an overwhelming smell of marijuana. I had children with me that couldn’t use the pool due to the overwhelming smell of marijuana. The beds were also horrible. They were like sleeping on a piece of plywood. We checked out a day early due to this. I asked for a refund on the night we didn’t use, only to be told this had to be done through hotels.com. Hotels.com tried to reach to the hotel property several times only to be told they had to contact the manager during certain times. To my knowledge they could never reach the manager. When I first contacted hotels.com about the refund of the night we didn’t use, they advised me the hotel property said I wasn’t checked out. I checked out with the front desk clerk before I left. I called the hotel property asking if they had me checked out. They said no. I told them I checked out at the front desk and needed to be checked out. The girl on the phone was rude and said yeah we’ll do that. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone."

"This is a lovely hotel, and I have stayed here multiple times. This last time, however, we had an issue with missing items. Jewelry was unfortunately left in the room and was then suspiciously “just not there” when we asked to have it retrieved and sent to us. This tells me that someone either pocketed the items or threw them away. Either way, there’s some dishonest people working here and that makes me feel like I can’t stay at this location again. Such a shame!"
