"You cannot find a better location and staff is excellent. The hotel is very dated and the plumbing in our room was not vented properly so there was a foul smell. The property does have a great roof top restaurant."

"Staff were very good, welcoming and responsive. The hotel is older and run down, but clean. Its location right at central access to the beach is perfect. Breakfast is simple and uninspired but sufficient. Firm, comfortable bed, a/c and fan and a small balcony. Easy to take bus out front to the airport or to Faro and many good restaurants close by."

"Great hostel, good Central location. 5 minutes walk into the city centre, 2 minutes walk from the nearest bars and restaurants. Clean room, comfortable bed and good communication from the host throughout our stay. If I'm nit picking the only very slight drawback was, the bedroom curtains, weren't full blackout (I'm a very light sleeper) but this was a very small thing, and it probably won't affect most people. I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Recommended. "

"Check in was super easy. I arrived 'out of hours' and got very detailed descriptions on how to get in. Room and separate bathroom were clean and bed was comfy. There is no breakfast but a honesty box and some stuff like packaged mini croissants etc for purchase. I didn't bother with those and walked 2mins to Ponto Expresso for Pastel de nata and coffee. Overall, safe and very convenient area. Close to bus terminal, old town, good for a no frills weekend trip"

"The room was nice and all the amenities were good. They provide basic breakfast as well which is a bonus. The code for the front door didn’t work, apparently it was changed but other guests let me in. The staff were onsite as well. I tried emailing ahead of time to ask some questions through Expedia but the property never did get back to me. "

"Convenient location that is walkable to old town, bars, shopping, and a huge public parking lot. Clean room, wifi worked great, breakfast was wonderful, front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Quiet at night with some staff noise outside our window in the morning. Beautiful yellow building and breakfast room. I’d stay here again and recommend to others."

"The busy part and old town of Faro were only a ten minute walk. Avenue 41 was also close to good grocery shops and reataurants. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, even printing our boarding passes. The rooftop terrace was a lovely apot to unwind! Hoghly recommend."

"Beautiful hotel which is spotlessly clean and staffed by the most lovely people. My husband and I were discussing how lucky the hotel is to have such brilliant people. Everyone of them couldn’t do enough and it wasn’t “ forced” as they all were so naturally lovely. From the lovely lady who checked us in on arrival then the cleaners who were excellent. Then Ivanilda in the breakfast room who went out of her way to help us choose the beach / island we visited. Then she checked on us the next day...

"Pros: 10-15m walk from bus station, train station and old town Easy to check in and clear instructions Complimentary natas for breakfast Cons: Emailed host 3x before arrival date - did not receive a reply Room lacking some basics - no towel rail in bathroom, AC remote not working, no mirror at dressing table. Wifi not working properly. Poor sound proofing - dog barking for hours in evening - very loud Okay for 1 night but not good value for money."
