"Everything electronic, except for the refrigerator was unplugged. The bedside lamp was broken. There was soap residue on the shower drain. There was no type of soap products in the bathroom or shower. The mirror was covered with hand prints. Had to have maintenance to turn the heat on.I spent the night there simply because I had driven 600 miles. I would not stayed there if my wife was with me. At least I didn’t see anything crawling. Check in and out process is atrocious."

"The food was wonderful and very fresh! The beds were very comfortable! Each room is thermostatically controlled and has its own charm. The floors and stairs are creaky but adds to the charm of an old home. Laurie is such a great host! We enjoyed her company very much! She made our stay so nice! We would definitely stay there again!"

The location was amazing and made our temple visit so special and convenient. We truly felt the spirit of Nauvoo during our stay. Thank you for the warm hospitality and for making our trip such a memorable experience. We would absolutely love to stay here again! Just one thing Refrigerator wasn’t working and our drinks and food didn’t get cold."

"I first want to say the owners are very nice. I do think they wanted us to feel comfortable and welcome. The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together.
