Wir hatten als Familie mit einem Kind ein Standard Zimmer mit zwei Doppelbetten reserviert, incl. Frühstück. Als wir ankamen wurden wir zwar herzlich vom Inhaber empfangen, aber es gibt zwei große Hunde in der Anlage, die auch an unser Auto kamen. Meine Frau und unser Sohn trauten sich ein weilchen nicht aus dem Auto. Deshalb sollte es jedem bewußt sein, dass in der Anlage zwei große Hunde täglich, auch nachts frei rumlaufen. Die Hunde sind zwar nicht bösartig, aber eventuell nicht jedermanns Sache. Nun zu der Anlage: - alles etwas kleiner und älter, als bei den Internet Reiseagenturen dargestellt.Die Rezeption ist eher staubig und das angebliche Aufentshaltsraum mehr zierde als tatsächlich nutzbar. - Alle Zimmer scheinen relativ neu zu sein, haben aber kein Fenster zum öffnen, sondern die Türen können geöffnett werden. Bei einer Belegung von drei Personen wird die Luft stickig, will man über Nacht die Tür offen lassen, können Tiere oder die Hunde des Besitzers eventuell reinkommen. Wir raten zukünftigen Urlaubern das Haus Nr. 29 (Standardzimmer) zu meiden, Grund: Rattenbefall in den Zimmern (Lüftungsschacht läuft direkt hinterm Bett, hörbar früh morgens und nachts) und starker Autolärm morgens von 05:00 - 08:00, so, dass teilweise der Boden bebt, da die Strasse nicht gut asphaltiert ist.

Una sistemazione splendida in un luogo incantato

Premetto che io sono innamorata della natura in tutte le sue forme. Trovarmi in un luogo dove davanti vedo il mare a perdita d'occhio, sulla sinistra Taormina, dietro di me l'Etna coperto di neve e tutto attorno un agrumeto pieno di arance vuol dire essere in partadiso, per me. E poi mettiamoci questa struttura antica, recuperata a regola d'arte, con camere veramente belle e comode che si affacciano sul verde e sull'azzurro del mare. E aggiungiamoci Salvo, un vero padrone di casa alla siciliana: sempre attento alle necessità mie e della mia amica, sempre gentile e pronto a metterci a nostro agio. Che dire di più? Non sarei voluta tornare a casa, nonostante viva anche io in un posto bellissimo, in mezzo a un'oliveta. Ma questa Sicilia fa innamorare.

Beste Unterkunft Siziliens!

Wir haben einen Familienurlaub auf Sizilien gemacht und mit Gardino degli Ovali 100% ins Schwarze getroffen. Alles ist nagelneu, absolut sauber und gepflegt, durchdacht und wunderschön gelegen. Der Inhaber ist superfreundlich und steht einem immer hilfreich zur Seite. Das Frühstück in der Orangenplantage mit italienischem Cappuccino, selbstgemachten Croissants, selbstgemachter Orangenmarmelade usw. Ein Traum. Zum Strand nur wenige Autominuten, zum Wandern ausreichend Wanderrouten, zum Einkaufen alles in der Nähe... Die Klimaanlage ist auch der Hit- bei 38 Grad absolut leise und voll ausreichend. Gardino degli Ovali ist ein altes Landgut, das der Enkel des verstorbenen Besitzers in liebevoller Arbeit wieder aufgebaut und zu seinem Traumhotel ausgebaut hat- alles mit natürlichen Materialien. Er betreibt auch noch weiterhin die grosse Orangenplantage, die auch. Feigenbäume, Nussbäume hat ( wir haben die Feigen direkt vom Baum gegessen!). Meine Frau ist sehr pingelig, was Sauberkeit angeht....wir waren alle begeistert. Wir hatten Urlaub mit einer befreundeten Familie gemacht, die in Gardini Naxos ein Billigeres Hotel gefunden hatte. Wenn sie nicht schon bezahlt hätten, wären sie sofort zu uns umgezogen. Von uns: 100% ige Empfehlung!!!
