Excellent location and amenities, just a few steps from the entrance to Tikal National Park. Excellent tour guides, very helpful and friendly staff overall. Can’t wait to visit again!
The hotel and staff were great. The pool could’ve been cleaner and there could’ve been more vegetarian options on the dinner menu.
Great location and great tours with knowledgeable guides

Stunning location in the park with nice food and friendly staff.
We were pleasantly surprised about our stay here at the Jungle Lodge. You can’t beat the location, walking distance to the ruins. The staff and service were over the top, everyone went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. We did the sunrise private excursion which gets you up at 3:30am but what an experience, one of the best in our lifetime. Rooms are spacious and very clean and we will have to make a trip back to do the sunset excursion. Recommendation, do the sunrise excursion, you beat the crowds and basically have the site to yourself.
Exceeded our expectations by a lot. Very peaceful spot in the middle of a lot of action with as good of access as you can get to get into the park. Room was very nice. Pool was refreshing. If you plan on getting to the park early this place is the best option!
Food was just decent but not great and a little overpriced for what it was.
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Jungle Lodge. This is where the archaeologists stayed while excavating Tikal, though it is much improved since. Our bungalow was clean and comfortable, nice shower, located in the beautiful jungle. We loved hearing the howler monkeys in the night and the birds in the morning. The staff is great and the restaurant is very good.
Jungle Lodge was fabulous, our "cabin" was perfect, from the princess/bug net to the tub where you can watch wild jungle animals from.
A beautiful dinner and breakfast and top knot h customer service. We give the Jungle Lodge 100%.
We highly recommend, especially if you're looking to visit Tikal.
We stayed at the Jungle Lodge Hotel because of its main selling point: it sits at the entrance to the Tikal national park site. The convenience and accessibility of the site from the hotel can't be understated. It does mean that your options for eating other than in the hotel restaurant are pretty limited, but it didn't matter because the resto is well run and offers a wide array of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms are safari-chic and compare favorably with many of the safari lodges we have stayed at in Africa. But be aware that there is no air conditioning -- and Tikal is in the jungle. The ceiling fan helped a lot, fortunately. We were in one of the bungalows farthest from the restaurant/hotel desk, which was great for noise purposes, but the water pressure was so feeble that taking a shower was a time-consuming process.
Our cottage was spacious, clean, and super convenient to the national park at Tikal (walking distance). We ate at the restaurant 2x and the food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend staying at this property if you’re visiting Tikal.
The jungle lodge is a great place to stay for convenience when visiting Tikal. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice.

If you want to do the sunset and sunrise tours of Tikal I HIGHLY recommend that you all stay at this location. It’s both a hostel and hotel but the amenities are out of this world for being in such a remote location. The rooms are surprisingly modern. The toilets and shower are fabulous. Now be mindful that there is only wifi in 3 areas of the hotel and that the rooms only have fans and not AC. Then again it’s THE BEST location by far of any other hotel. Like a 2min walk from the park. I talked to another group that stayed in Flores and they woke up at 2am to get to Tikal for sunrise when I got to wake up at 4:15am and get back for a nap by noon. You can’t beat the location and friendly staff.
Absolutely amazing and convenient! Neo, the member of the staff who helped us, was phenomenal—walking distance to the Tikal entrance. Also, you can buy tickets sunrise tour at the hotel. My friend and I almost got scammed but we were able to get our money back. I would stay here again. The food was great!
This is really one of the only places to stay that is directly in the park. It was an amazing location. The staff was wonderful. We had a private small cabin room. There are screens but no windows, so the temperature was dependent on what was happening outside, but it was clean and I slept great. The lodge has wifi, good food, and drinks. The staff were incredible, and we maximized our time in the park. The pool was large and cool in the evening. It was the perfect vacation for us.
