Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Loved our stay in Besalu. We’ll be back!

We found the hotel to be very well run with friendly and caring staff. Our room was large and well appointed. The breakfast buffet and other meals were excellent. The hotel is in a beautiful, tranquil rural setting but in easy reach of Figueres, Girona and the coast.

We visited for a triathlon so the area was very busy. There is a free car park available which was full at times. It was also exceptionally hot. The air conditioning was very effective. The rooms were clean and reasonably well equipped. There was very little storage. The bed was comfortable. It was a 15 minute walk to the supermarket and the old town. The hotel does not allow bicycles in the rooms but there is an excellent, secure bicycle room with a selection of tools available. We were...

Amazing stay!

Our 8th stay at this spa hotel. It gets better everytime we go. They have taken our previous comments on board and we now have coffee and yes in the room. Great. Can't beat it we are back there next month.

Spacious and cool apartment in a small complex. The kitchen is small but has two cooker rings, a fridge, kettle and microwave. There is an oven in the shared section together with a washing machine, dryer and big freezer. The on-site restaurant is good, set meals only and only open for dinner at the weekend when we were there. Breakfast available every day if pre-booked. A nice pool that was popular with families. A 10 min drive into Banyoles for main shops. Overall, a good value place for a...

Aircon was welcome Pool was beautiful Food was traditional and homely

Very helpful staff, luggage stored pre-check in helped, and after check-out, allowing more time to explore. Well situated for visiting the town. Hope to return.

The staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was tok much trouble. You could relax at the hotel, the honesty bar was great and the pool area was a nice place to chill out. Its also only a short walk into the city, alternatively there are buses running every 15 minutes. An added bonus is that the hotel is right by a hospital, so even the most accident prone people are catered for.

Lovely! Would stay again despite that it is doesn’t offer the usual services you expect from a full hotel. I guess this is simply down to cost paring. They must have got a huge architect bill to build this and which went well over budget and they are cutting services to save cash. Not great for guests.

Hotel Ronda is a very nice Hotel. I was made to feel welcome the moment I walked through the door. The staff are all very friendly, and very efficient, and can speak English. The Hotel always looked very clean. The location is a short walk into town, straight down one pedestrian friendly road. The breakfast is a help your self cold buffet, plenty of ham, cheese, melon, bread, cereal etc. I ate in the restaurant one evening, the food was very nice and reasonably priced, and there was a very good...

El Porxo is a beautiful home/bed and breakfast in a quiet neighbourhood about 20 mins walk (5 mins bus or drive) outside the city centre. The neighbourhood has good restaurants and shops. Hosts are wonderfully welcoming and the breakfast is incredible.

Stunning location, jaw dropping views, a wonderful place to stay

Beautiful hotel! Staff were very helpful and recommended us some lovely restaurants. Pool area was well maintained and breakfast was fantastic.

we were able to check in at midday upon arrival from the airport, very efficient check in & a nice welcome. Our room was clean & cool, nicely appointed, enough space to move around in, huge bathroom with large walk in shower. A kettle in the room was very much appreciated, minibar was well stocked. Our room was 3rd floor, at rear, full length windows opened to a railing, overlooking the pool area. Seemed well sound-proofed room; heard little noise (none of the recently mentioned construction...
