"Good location. Made it easy to walk around. Restaurant on site also convenient for breakfast & snacks. Staff very helpful especially getting a taxi and with luggage."
"This eccentric hotel was very clean. The two onsite restaurants were both very good. The concierge staff was successful in getting us a cab to get to our cruise ship on time. The only negatives were: 1) I did not receive a response to an inquiry about cruise shuffles before our arrival and 2) guest services did not tell us that our room was at the top of a steep flight of stairs. We had to return to the front desk for a bellman and did not get our luggage for another 2 hours."
"Good stay overall, but the hotel didn’t quite have the level of grandeur we expected from a Marriott.
We booked two rooms and appreciated being given adjacent ones on the first night. The rooms looked good in terms of listed square footage, but the proportions were awkward and made parts of the space hard to use. The air‑conditioning also didn’t work.
Later that night, we were moved to interconnecting rooms with working air‑con, which made a noticeable difference.
The pool has great views, but despite being advertised as heated, the water felt cold and appeared to more reliant on sunlight than a heating system. It warmed up as the day progressed. After swimming, my eyes were irritated for several hours, which raised concerns about the chemicals used.
A pleasant stay overall, but several details fell short of what we’d expect from a Marriott‑branded property.

"The staff were very helpful, the only (first world problems) issue we found was the shower - the pressure drops and you get no water and then 2 minutes later it comes back on. Our room was good, reasonably comfy.
One of the bar staff was a bit snippy but the bar was very busy. Overall we would stay at
This chain again."
"Great location. Staff were friendly, polite, helpful. Breakfast was nice. There’s a nice garden to relax with a drink or a bite to eat after a long day exploring the area.
The only downside was the air conditioning had broken down but every room was supplied with a fan so it wasn’t a massive issue and the hotel was doing their best to fix it
We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again"
"We have just left the hotel. From very friendly staff at reception, bar and spar nothing was a problem. The spar is a hidden gem. And we booked through Hotels.com and got the 5 days for half price! Bonus! We used it every day.
Only eaten once in restaurant and Happy hour at the Bar, well happy 3 hours! 4-7.
Would definitely visit again."
"Enjoyed our pre-cruise stay at this property. The location is great and the staff was incredible. The fish and chips in the dining room was good also. We only experienced one hiccup-one of our suitcases was missing from the storage area when we went to collect it after breakfast. The staff and manager worked diligently to find it and after 45 minutes of worry, the team found it in a secondary storage area."
