"Couldn’t use the balcony we paid extra to reserve due to mayflies swarming it, the hotel doesn’t do anything about this; many other hotels in the area are same on this issue. Swimming pool was heavily over chlorinated, had to open windows because smell of chlorine was so bad several guests were getting watery eyes just sitting next to pool. The hot tub has really nice warm water but the jets are broken so that they turn on but bubble up the sides only where chunks of tile are missing. Restaurant...

"This hotel is a gem. It is an older facility, but you can tell it has been well maintained. Everything was great- the facility, the property and the staff. The pool and hot tub were very clean and inviting. The breakfast was substantial and we enjoyed walking out on the beach and seeing all the baby geese. We will definitely go back!"

"This little motel was THE PERFECT stay while I was in St. Ignace for 4 days. I love the vintage-feel of the motel and the newly-updated rooms! Bed was super comfortable and so was the recliner in the room. Room was super clean and had everything I needed. When I come back to St. Ignace, I will always stay at The Cedars!!!!!!! I recommend this super nice motel to everyone!!! 🌟🌟🌟"

"Worst stay ever. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the heater was not working properly. Despite the cold weather, the room never got warm enough, making the stay very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the shower curtain and curtain rod were already broken when we arrived, which showed a lack of maintenance and attention to basic room upkeep.
