we got a 2 hour early check in and the room was clean! everything we needed we had and had a larger fridge than expected! i wish i we did have a broom in the room for all the sand we tracked in but it was overall a nice stay and close to walk to the beach and all the restaurants!

Truly enjoyed my stay at fortuna hotel. I was a solo traveller and felt safe here. I went around spring break and the guests ranged from young adults and families to older couples. Fortuna is in a great location right across the street from the W Hotel and just steps away from the beach and nice restaurants as well as a 15 min walk to las olas. The room was clean with everything you needed (toiletries, towels, tv, microwave, mini fridge). The hotel also offers free beach towels you can just grab at the front and beach chairs you can grab, located by the back pool. Note that this is a virtually managed hotel and the office is only staffed until 4pm. I was provided the key codes for check in a few hours upon arrival and all went smoothy with management sending me messages to check up on me throughout my stay… I suggest booking through Expedia though because others struggled with not getting their code/not getting a response. All in all, great hotel.

This is a great beach hotel a block from the ocean. It is so clean. The staff work hard to keep it clean. It smelled like bleach, Lysol, and salt fresh air in a good way. They have an office person on-site 9 to 4 and they are great and a chat after those hours. They check to see if you need anything. They let you sow your luggage before and after checkout. They have an amenities cabinet with hygiene supplies, toilet paper and paper towels, beach and bath towels, coffee,cutlery, dish soap, scrubbies, everything, they have a collection of properties so you have several pools to choose from. I have already rebooked and I just got home last night. The Fortuna is a great hotel.

The staff which was Denise the best nicest Jamican lady . Was a hard worker doing her best in a hard situation. Great location , easy commute to everything , not the Ritz but what you need in a beach hotel for its age. Seamless check in check out , think jersey shore motels of the 80's. I have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past it has definitely gone downhill since I was there a couple years ago. The pool was not in order only had a little bit of green water in it very unpleasant sight to look at the other pool that was available had maybe four chairs, trash everywhere. The rooms for the most part were clean. The bedding was fine. Took us two days to get washcloths because there were none it is a great location in the price was cheap so as the same goes, you get what you pay for the staff was very attentive to respond quickly, but you had to talk via email because no one is staffed there after 4 o’clock It could be an actually amazing boutique hotel if someone put the time and money and effort into fixing it up. Will not be staying here again.

It was my room first of all my TV did not work the tub has chipped paint and there was a roach crawling across the top of the bed I had no wash clothes the coffee was horrible the staff was unreasonable after 2pm and the floor had not been swept or mopped very very disappointed and for all the money I spent for the room for a whole week it could have been way better

My experience at Fortuna Hotel was unacceptable. I arrived late on February 5 and the property uses self check-in. From the moment I pulled up, it was immediately clear that the exterior looked nothing like the photos advertised online. The property appeared poorly maintained and gave a very different impression from the listing. Although the room itself appeared technically clean, it had a stark, institutional feel — dim lighting, worn finishes, and an overall atmosphere that was unsettling and nothing like the welcoming images presented on Expedia. The discrepancy between the listing photos and the actual condition was significant. I did not feel comfortable or safe staying there and left shortly after entering the room. I was forced to find alternative accommodations in the middle of the night at additional expense. I contacted the property immediately to request a cancellation due to the clear misrepresentation. I was told someone would follow up. It has now been over a week. Despite multiple phone calls and emails, I have received no response whatsoever. The listing photos do not accurately reflect the current condition or atmosphere of this property. Based on my experience, I believe a refund is justified. I would strongly caution others to review recent guest photos carefully before booking.

The room was clean and tidy. I did not encounter any staff. The instructions were on spot. It was a fair price in a very expensive area for lodging.

The staff was very friendly. The rooms are quite outdated, but the one main negative was that my room did not have heat and temperatures at night were in low 30s a few nights, so the room got cold. I did message the office and they said they would bring extra blankets but the maid service never dropped them off, so I mentioned it again and the day it actually started warming up the maid service dropped off an extra blanket. The location is very convenient for beach access.

It was very comfortable. Everything was clean and neat. Bed was big and i slept perfectly. Only thing is that there was very cool weather and in late night cold wind would come in from the windows, since they were not sliding windows. Other than that, everything was very good.

The room was clean but a bit shabby and very humid. There were no washcloths or hand towels. The room was large, with crisp linens on a comfortable bed. There was a large TV, ample storage closet, safe, mini fridge and a nice little dining island. The pool was empty, the guests next to me smoking weed was quite smelly and it happened to be 1°, so the humid room was also freezing cold. Could have been much better, but it could have been worse also.
