"It is a nice, recently remodeled hotel. A little hard to find and unload on the narrow street, but ok. But, Checkin took more than a half hour. There is no elevator, so you have to carry your suitcases up the stairs. The shower is mounted at two meters, and the shower stall only has a half door, so unless you are tall enough to change the angle, you have a very were bathroom. Parking is on the parallel (main) street. Ok, but not good in the rain. What takes this from a 4 to a 1 is the barking dog all day and night. The owner/operator lives in a house right next to the hotel, and has a dog that barked day and night. amazingly stupid. "

"It is a unique property, I have never seen a hotel like that. Each house is different and it is part of the restored village. Every morning we were getting a freshly baked bread and a cake delivered to our little house. The property itself is very beautiful. The host Priscilla is very welcoming warm and hospitable. 10 stars all the way!!!"

"This hotel is an oasis of calm and tranquillity. Rooms are bright and in good condition. The bed was comfortable and it was a pleasure to wake up to warm sunlight from the Juliet balcony. The location is great, with easy walking access to several restaurants in town. The staff are a credit to their organisation and helped with advice when asked. The provided information about driving tours of the area, all of which proved fascinating. We particulary recommend visiting Monsanto, Coimbra, Tomar and the Schist Villages."

"Charming beautifully decorated cottages. We enjoyed fire place, deck, library, and pottery workshop. There is a delicious healthy breakfast served in the cafe every morning. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. We hiked to a nearby village. We will definitely come back. "
