"Would have rated this higher except that there were a couple of times that I smelled cigarette smoke near the entrance due to workers smoking right outside the front door (one time I saw the worker, the other time it seemed that way but I didn't see it, just could smell it by the breakfast area). Would suggest not allowing workers to smoke that close to the entrance. I am a big fan of Holiday Inn Express & Suites and probably the main reason is due to how smoke-free they keep their hotels."

"Never saw any staff at all during 4 day stay. My friend arrived early and got both separate room keys. I was able to walk right into the room area without seeing anyone. "Rooms need lamps/outlets updated to allow usb plug in. Smart TVs would also be a nice touch. Had a small issue with the room that the GM personally addressed. Dinner was lackluster, but for something that’s free it’s serviceable. Staff an the overall property were both A+ though"

"Great stay. I have never experienced such hospitality by all staff at a hotel in the US before. Everyone working there genuinely seemed happy and enjoyed their job. This by far exceeded my expectations. Hotel was clean and well maintained and would definitely stay here again."

It was a red roof and i booked in advance without cancellation protection as there were not many options and the price was right and the reviews were not terrible. Oops. A sign outside the hotel said “new rooms” 😂 new grey vinyl planking a few years ago. The property was dirty. The stairs and upstairs hallway was too. There is no elevator. "The heat didn’t start getting warm until the next morning we checked in at 8pm and then when time to check out the 3rd shift worker left before the 1st worker got in. So I had to double back to get my deposit. We waited for about 30 mins with no employee on site. I live out of town had a appoint appointment so for me to have to double back was very inconvenient. "We checked in they did not have the correct room I booked they were sold out. The woman at the front desk never informed me until we walked in our room and it was smaller with no sofa bed. We then used the toilet and it overflowed onto the floor. "I booked the room through Expedia and when I showed up to check-in they said they didn’t have a room available. Expedia was of no help finding another hotel room in the area. Never booking through them again."

"My king bed room was fine. It’s just the rest of the place that looks a bit worn. There are big rig trucks parked on one side of the hotel, and when I got there, someone was blasting music while cleaning out his car and the people next to him were grilling in the parking lot. The common spaces smelled a bit of cigarettes and there isn’t an elevator to the second floor. The vibe didn’t make me feel totally comfortable but I was fine once in the room.
