Excellent hotel with friendly staff, great food, good entertainment every night and in an ideal location right on the sea front. Nice walks along the beach and a free shuttle bus to Funchal.

Loved this hotel! Stunning views from the balcony, brilliant staff, food was pretty good and served warmer than you often get in all inclusive, so that was great. Entertainment in the bar every night. Two pools and a jacuzzi. Rooms were large with comfortable seating and a large telly. Balcony is great. Just 2 draw backs, the beds are quite hard, and there are fans rather than air-conditioning, so the nights can be warm, but that is definitely a price worth paying!

Front desk staff Laura and Gabriela were lovely to deal with. Food was ok but could use more variety. Popcorn at the breakfast buffet?? Drinks were good but you needed an upgrade to get certain drinks made. Room was nice and clean but no air conditioning. Parking 15eu night. Free parking next door but hard to get a spot. Overall a nice quiet hotel with a beautiful view and close to everything if u have a rental car

This hotel was CLOSED when we got there for major refurbishment or whatever. Neither Hotels.com nor Pestana contacted us beforehand to advise us of this, so we had to sort out our night’s accommodation for ourselves. SHAME on you Hotels.com

Never stay here. Only one floor has AC. Out of 10 day stay, only 4 dishes out of all meals [all inclusive] were tasty. I'm used to GOOD Portuguese food! This wasn't! Outdated building. Shabby amenities [ripped bathroom towels]. Canceled scheduled activity after ppl showed up for swim fitness class. Open balcony gym located over dining room. So while eating, you can hear the person running on the treadmill because you are in thr same room.

Pendant 20 jours les choix chaud ont été servis tièdes, voir froids, sauf un ou deux soirs. En général la nourriture était répétitive et pas très savoureuse. Nous avons constaté un manque d'organisation et de supervision lors du service des repas. Les cuisiniers devraient être tenus d'utiliser des recettes standardisées et vérifier le goût et la température des aliments avant chaque repas. Nous n'avons jamais observer qui que ce soit du personnel vérifier les aliments avant ou durant les repas. Le petit déjeuner offraient un bon choix d'aliments. Le service à la chambre à été aussi déficient. Nous sommes de ces clients qui ne nécessitent pas de faire la chambre chaque jour (changement de serviettes et de draps). Malgré notre peu de besoins de service, à trois reprises nous avons manqué de serviettes et malgré nos efforts il a été difficile de corriger le problème. De plus la salle de bain ( moisissures autour du bains) et la chambre auraient besoin de rafraîchissement. Nous ne pourrions recommandé cet Hôtel.
