Lovely hotel set in beautiful gardens. Attentive staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It’s spoiled us at the start of a 3 week trip to Sri Lanka. Our next hotel was a real let down after Ulagalla!!

This was a beautiful oasis of calm. Very peaceful with a lovely pool. We did not realise but they had a wonderful buffet tea in the evening which was very cheap. Breakfast was also buffet style with a chef making fresh hoppers and he let my friend try

I really enjoyed my stay at Kutumbaya. The staff were really friendly and helped organise a safari and tour of the ancient ruins for me. The food was great, particularly the Sri Lankan breakfasts. The WiFi and air con were good and I even found some Premiership football on the TV. I’d definitely stay here again!

Well spaced out tented accommodation in a glorious lakeside setting. Very helpful courteous staff and excellent knowledgeable guide for nature walks. Solar power and recycling of plastics helps eco credentials. Basic shower facility but ‘does the job’. Food was very authentic Sri Lankan. And what could be better than sitting under a star lit sky eating dinner with a central wood fire! A very short drive to Wilpattu national park entrance. All in all a pleasant comfortable stay. Very good value...

The AC in our first room wasn't functioning properly. We were moved to another room and that was great. The staff were all fantastic, the pool was beautiful in a great location which felt like you were in the jungle. Breakfast was excellent. Other meals all very good and tasty.

Delightful and safe hotel with friendly and professional staff. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with good fittings. The garden area with tropical plants was beautiful, lovely to have a pool too. The breakfast and lunch was delicious and carefully prepared to our tastes, I recommend it!

hotel staff is very helpful. facilities are good and upto standard. the enviornment is very peaceful and very spacious. also close to the town and the important religious sites.

Quality hotel with spacious and well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely pool but it opened too late for us to be able to use it. We organised a day safari via the hotel, it’s a handy 15 minute drive to the park entrance. Good food in the restaurant, friendly and polite service from all the hotel team.

Lovely friendly helpful staff. Lovely residential road. Used pick me to get to property from station- only 450 LR Room with balcony allowed us the watch birds and at dusk.
