"Fabulous hotel in a quiet convenient part of Galle. Easy quick tuk tuk ride to fort and great restaurants. Beautiful spacious clean room with classy furnishings and super comfortable bed. Pool area is lovely to relax and unwind. Breakfast was fantastic and served just outside the room on the terrace. Staff really helpful. Totally recommend this hotel. "

Nice touch that they had turned on the AC well before my arrival, so the room was cool. The breakfast was exceptional with a variety of options, to include tasty local fruits. And the price was unbeatable for what I received in return. I wished I had time to stay another night- alas, this was not within my travel itinerary. "

"This is a lovely historic house presented with style and charm, and high standards. The staff provide the best service and are very attentive. Setting is just gorgeous with visiting shy groups of purple-faced leaf monkeys and peacocks passing through along the high walls and trees from time as you sit in the cool palm filled courtyards. And added, an excellent menu with both traditional and modern mix so well presented and tasty served in a lovely restaurant-bar setting on the deep verandahs. "

"The hotel has character but it is very basic. Breakfast is not available. There is no restaurant. The wifi mostly did not work. There was a complex device for showers that did not work properly and flooded the bathroom. The towels had seen better days. There was no TV. The room was not serviced in the three days I stayed in Galle. On the positive side, the location on Church St was excellent, the AC and fan both worked, there was a small fridge, and there was a pleasant balcony with chairs. The cost was about the same as the Ramada in Colombo, but there was no comparison in terms of comfort or amenities. I had completely the wrong impression of this very small hotel from the Expedia description."
